Historical Events (Pre-Show)[]

  • Devlin's Edicts[2] (IGP)
    • Immediately results in the mass sacrifices of followers of unlicensed faiths, including Carpenter's parents. Ultimately results in many more deaths over the ensuing years as followers of unlicensed faiths are imprisoned and used as official sacrifices.

Season 1 Events[]

  • The execution of the Wither Mark at Bellwethers[4] (IGP)
    • Many impacts on the show and its characters, but on the world stage, is a precipitating event of the war in Season 3
    • Carpenter is arrested by Hayward on suspicion of setting off the Wither Mark[5]
    • Daggler attempts to kill Carpenter instead of arrest her in Bellwethers, and he is killed by a River Angel that Faulkner sets on the police officers.[5]

Season 2 Events[]

  • A suspected spy from The Linger Straits is detained and questioned over many months, but is ultimately released[8] (IGP)
    • The suspected spy is Paige
  • A wealthy family suffers "an act of terrorism at the hands of a Peninsulan"[8] (CLS)

Season 3 Events[]

  • The Dosser's Draft is introduced[17] (IGP)
  • The channel-facing borders of both countries are protected by weaponized saints[1]
  • CenSec meetings begin in Moridame Palace to address the war[1] (IGP)
    • Val is introduced as a Peninsulan weapon
  • The Victory Day Parade in Glottage[24] (IGP)
    • The legalisation of the Parish of Tide and Flesh is announced
    • The Wither Mark is set off by Faulknarian disciples of the Parish of Tide and Flesh, which is later known as The Victory Day Massacre[25]
    • The attack is accredited to the Children of the Woundtree[26]
